From New York Roots to Colorado Heights
Rob Buck started Next Level Finish back in 1988 after growing up learning the plumbing, electrical, and HVAC trades from his family in Upstate New York. Since moving to Loveland that same year, we have grown from a commercial flooring business into a high-end residential remodeling team. With over three decades under our belts, we do not just know how to make a room look good; we understand the structure and systems behind the walls that make a home last.

I started working for a commercial flooring company as a young adult in 1986 in Upstate NY. In 1988 I started my own commercial flooring company specializing in resilient flooring, VCT, welded sheet goods and commercial glue down carpet and carpet tile. In 1988 my wife Michelle and I moved to Loveland Colorado and started Next Level Finish with a focus on residential custom tile, wood floors, Kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, basement finishes and new construction finishes. Add it all up and I have been in business for 35 years.

In my experience over 35 years of kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels and basement finishing; many contractors tend to become focused on the bottom line rather than serving the client to best meet their needs. Upselling is a common practice in the remodeling industry. At Next Level Finish, we are not afraid to "down-sell" if we believe it's the best solution for our clients needs, regardless of profit.

Next Level Finish was founded in 1988 in Upstate NY. I started the business primarily because of the large profit margins in commercial flooring however those large commercial flooring projects didn't seem to satisfy my artistic tendencies. In 1988 we moved to Loveland Colorado and began custom kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling and overall remodeling and basement finishes. The residential market was much more satisfying from an artistic standpoint and working with homeowners to create their dream space and help them to visualize a new luxury spa or retreat in their own home is where I feel like I can make the most positive impact.
Next Level Finishes goals for the future are to continue to offer Loveland Colorado and surrounding area homeowners with the very best, high quality, affordable basement finishes, kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels and state of the art, cutting edge new construction finishes.
I grew up in the 1970's and 80's. My father and grandfather owned a family business that provided plumbing, electric and HVAC services. I worked summers and weekends as a teenager and young adult digging ditches, threading pipe, running air ducts and whatever else my dad told me to do. After high school I met a commercial flooring contractor that was partnered with a gymnasium hardwood flooring contractor. They shared labor resources, so I learned how to do both trades. I became proficient in commercial flooring, sheet goods and vinyl tile installation and at the same time I also learned to install, paint, stripe and finish gymnasium hardwood floors. Some of those floors are still in use today! After working in these trades for a couple years I decided it was time to start my own business and did so in 1988. I expanded on that skillset over the years and began to offer ceramic tile, porcelain, granite, marble and natural stone installation in addition to the commercial flooring. In 1998 we moved to Loveland Colorado and began to offer Northern Colorado homeowners' kitchen and bathroom remodeling services and basement finishes. In 2003 I obtained my general contractors license in Loveland Colorado and built several homes from the ground up through 2008 when the recession forced us out of new home builing.
